FAQs
What are some of the benefits that Project Owners gain from working with DR Consulting?
The benefits are numerous and they all lead to reduced costs, risk, and stress.
What are some of the benefits that Consultants gain from working with DR Consulting?
The benefits for the Consultants are also numerous and they all lead to reduced costs, risk, and stress.
If the Client retains DR Consulting, does it mean that the consulting firm is viewed as being substandard?
This is definitely not true. One of our key goals is to help good consulting firms become great and to help great consulting
firms become outstanding. We have no interest in working with poor consulting firms. If the consultant's Client retains
DR Consulting to provide Service Quality Enhancement, it should be seen as a compliment to their firm.
How can the benefit of DR Consulting’s provision of Service Quality Enhancement be measured?
We have developed a tool to measure Client Satisfaction. This is used prior to DR Consulting's involvement and at various
stages thereafter. Of course, we do not rely solely on this tool. We also stay in close contact with the Client and consultants
to help ensure that issues are dealt with proactively.
Has “Service Quality Enhancement” been provided by other firms?
Yes. In many locations it is common for Clients to retain program managers to deal with consultants. Some program managers
are little more than “middle men” between the Client and the consultant, but the most successful program managers also work closely
with the consultants to help them provide quality service (as DR Consulting does). There is no question that this additional
level of attention and assistance makes life better for Clients and consultants; it reduces costs, risk, and stress.
If DR Consulting is retained by the Client, will the fees for the other consultants go down?
All else being equal, the fees for the other consultants would only go down in cases where they are required to do less work and accept
less risk and responsibility. Based on this principle, even if the consultants' fees go down, their profits should not be affected
(and might increase).
